An article presenting parts of the research conducted in the COMPASS group is being published in the Advances in Space Research journal. The paper shows how to improve the accuracy of semi-analytically propagated orbits – especially highly eccentric ones – perturbed by atmospheric drag.

Great success at the 2019 IAA Symposium on Small Satellites for Earth Observation

The 12th IAA Small Satellites for Earth Observation Symposium took place from 5 to 10 May in Berlin. Cristiano Contini and Camilla Colombo were awarded the second prize as best student paper with their work “Attitude and orbital dynamics fine coupling for high area-to-mass Satellites”. A great success for COMPASS team, PoliMi and DAER!
