Constellation-servicing active debris removal (ADR) is a potential solution to deal with failed constellation satellites. A new Open Access paper from Adrián Barea and Hodei Urrutxua from URJC and Juan Luis Gonzalo and Camilla Colombo from Politecnico di Milano proposes a constraint programming-based framework for preliminary ADR mission analysis.

The COMPASS members participating contributed to the technical programme of the congress with several presentation on topics such as space debris, collision avoidance, asteroid ejecta dynamics, formation flying and active debris removal, and sustainability of space. The COMPASS group participated to the 8th European Conference on Space Debris organised by ESA/ESOC on 20-23 April 2021. The conference, held every four years, represents the largest gathering of researchers and professional working on space debris related activities and topics. The COMPASS group contributed with 4 oral presentations and 3 posters.
The COMPASS team attended the 2020 AAS/AIAA Astrodynamics Specialist Virtual Lake Tahoe Conference, held virtually, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, from 9 to 12 August 2020.
