The new paper published by Lorenzo Giudici and Camilla Colombo from Politecnico di Milano and André Horstmann, Francesca Letizia and Stijn Lemmens from the European Space Agency presents a novel density-based model for the long-term propagation of the space debris environment in low-Earth orbit.

Eduardo is a new PhD candidate in Politecnico di Milano. During his 3 years period he will mainly work on collision avoidance manoeuvres and re-entry predictions.
The new paper by our Andrea Muciaccia and Camilla Colombo in collaboration with the SPIRE group of DAER, ASI and INAF, presents the work done in terms of observation, monitoring and reconstruction of the Cosmos 1408 fragmentation occurred on the 15th November 2021.
