Xiaodong Lu at I-CELMEC Conference “New frontiers of Celestial Mechanics: theory and applications” in Padova

Last week Xiaodong Lu presented part of his research work at the I-CELMEC Conference “New frontiers of Celestial Mechanics: theory and applications” in Padova.

He gave a contributed talk entitled “Reachable domain analysis for analytical design of end-of-life disposal”. The single and double-averaged dynamics for spacecrafts under J2 and lunisolar perturbations were implemented and the phase-space structure of Keplerian elements is constructed and analysed. A post-mission disposal approach targeting an atmospheric re-entry using grid search is proposed, which serves as a preliminary work for optimisation of the enhancing manoeuvre.
