New member of the COMPASS team

Martina Rusconi, who recently graduated in Space Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, has been granted a research fellowship for activities at DAER. She joined in February the COMPASS team.

Martina is working with the team on the development of an orbit and attitude simulator for small satellites.

As part of the project, the simulator will investigate the expected behaviour of a carrier spacecraft when testing a new propulsion technology in orbit, in an upcoming Low Earth Orbit Mission.

Exploiting the modelling techniques implemented, data of in-flight experiments will be analysed to reconstruct the engine thrust model.
