MIAPP workshop on Near-Earth Objects

The Munich Institute for Astro- and Particle Physics (MIAPP) workshop on “Near-Earth Objects: Properties, Detection, Resources, Impacts and Defending Earth” took place from 14 May to 8 June 2018 at MIAPP. The workshop was organised by Andreas Burkert, Camilla Colombo, Robert Jedicke, Detlef Koschny, and Richard Wainscoat.

This programme brought together an international group of experts in the fields of asteroid properties, detection, in-situ resource utilisation, orbit analysis, impact hazard assessment, and planetary defence, in combination with specialists from ESA and NASA and risk management organisations.
