COMPASS at PolimiOpenLabs for STEMintheCity 2018

COMPASS control room at PolimiOpenLabs

STEMintheCity is an initiative promoted by the City of Milan aiming to spread the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) culture and address the gender gap in these fields. Politecnico di Milano takes part of this event organizing several talks and activities, including the PolimiOpenLabs guided visits to the university’s research laboratories.

The COMPASS team participated in the visit to the labs at the Bovisa campus, offering visitors a simulated ‘control room’ where our mission operators guided them through the many satellites and other objects orbiting our planet. Promising possibilities and exciting challenges to ignite the imagination of the next generation of STEM professionals.
