Dr. Mirko Trisolini, from the COMPASS group, is carrying out a research period of 9 months at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to continue the research for the MSCA Individual Fellowship “CRADLE”. At JAXA, he will increase his experience and knowledge on asteroid exploration and sample collection, working in alongside experts from the Hayabusa2 mission.
The ESA’s Living Planet Symposium is one the biggest Earth observation conferences in the world, playing a fundamental role in advancing our understanding of how our planet works and how it is being affected by climate change. The COMPASS group participated to the Living Planet Symposium 2022, held in Bonn, Germany on 23–27 May 2022.
Marco Nugnes, from the COMPASS team, is spending six months of his PhD at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory under the Visiting Student Research Program (JVSRP), where he will work on his PhD research on low-thrust trajectory optimisation using the technique of the differential dynamic programming.
