Mirko Trisolini from the COMPASS group participated to the 5th International Space Debris Re-entry Workshop, organised by ESA and held for the first time in a virtual format. Mirko, in collaboration with Ioannis Gkolias and Camilla Colombo, presented his work on disposal via re-entry of geostationary satellites on resonant trajectories, discussing how the re-entry conditions can be predicted, and the potential hazards for people and properties on the ground.
