COMPASS is contributing to the Space Mission Planning Advisory Group (SMPAG) technical work on asteroid missions for planetary defense. Camilla Colombo took part to the 12th meeting of the SMPAG, held on the margins of the 56th session of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee’s session of the of the United Nation Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) as part of the delegation of the Italian Space Agency lead by Marco Castronuovo. COMPASS contributed in delivering the action by the Italian Space Agency regarding item 5.4 “Reference missions for different NEO threat scenarios”.
