COMPASS at the 16th International Conference on Space Operations

The COMPASS team attended the 16th International Conference on Space Operations, held virtually on 3-5 of May, 2021. (https://spaceops2021.org/)

Andrea Muciaccia, Matteo Romano and Camilla Colombo presented their recent work towards the long-term identification of in-orbit fragmentation events from the tracking of the resulting fragments.

Francesca Scala, Camilla Colombo and Mirko Trisolini presented their analysis on the attitude dynamics and control for the e.Cube mission concept. The presentation was mainly focused on the attitude control of the re-entry phase of the CubeSat mission, for thermosphere data analysis.

Finally, Francesca Scala, Gabriella Gaias and Camilla Colombo presented their last findings on the GNSS-based guidance, navigation, and control system design for a remote sensing mission in Low Earth Orbit. The analysis was carried out for the ESA “Formation Flying L-band Aperture Synthesis” mission concept, in collaboration with Airbus Defence and Space Spain.
